Liz Maginnis and Sarah Skitt set up Reigate Crafter’s Market after visiting one disappointing fair too many.

Over a glass of wine (“where most ideas come through” – Liz), these crafty friends decided enough was enough and put out a call through friends and social media for local artisans: it turned out Surrey was teaming with them. “We couldn’t believe how many people in the area were doing amazing stuff”.

They ran their first fair in April 2016 and have been fully booked ever since, standing firm on quality and variety: “It has to be handmade craft. We want to see what people do, and not duplicate stuff”.

Held at St Mark’s Church in Reigate and with 26 stalls, the choice is truly wide ranging: from illustrations, polymer clay jewellery and luxury candles for adults, to hand made crayons, craft boxes and clothes made of Liberty fabrics for kids, to designer cakes for everyone.

Talking of which, you might even meet Lizzie and Sarah who often muck in on tea duty at the café.
